Marcy Simons is the organizational development librarian at the University of Notre Dame. As the person who maintains the documentation and adherence to our library faculty expectations, practices and hiring guidelines, and ensures a shared understanding with the office of the provost related to our status as library faculty she has an intimate knowledge of the expectations, pros, cons, and new areas of concern/focus related to status and contribution to the profession. Simon’s previous book, Academic Library Metamorphosis and Regeneration, was also published in the Beta Phi Mu Scholar Series.
