Dr. Long is an associate editor of The Journal of Pediatrics, as well as the Red Book Report of the Committee on Infectious Diseases of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She has chaired the program committee for annual meetings of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Infectious Diseases Society of America and the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society. She sits on research advisory committees for the National Institutes of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Dr. Marc Fischer is a pediatric infectious disease specialist in Fort Collins, Colorado. He received his medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine and has been in practice for more than 20 years. David Kimberlin, MD is Professor/Co-Director, Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases/Sergio B. Stagno, MD Endowed Chair in Pedaitric Infectious Diseases/Vice Chair for Clinical and Translational Research at Children's Alabama, Birmingham. Dr. Kimberlin is a world renowned pediatric infectious diseases specialist at the University of Alabama, is at the fulcrum of NIH- sponsored multicentered clinical trials especially related to antiviral therapy, is the chief editor of the Red Book Report of the Committee on Infectious Diseases of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and a national leader in academic and subspecilty societies. He has been a contributor of critical chapters in PPPID since its inception.
