Dr. Lynn M. Harter, Ph.D., is the Steven and Barbara Schoonover Professor of Health Communication in the Scripps College of Communication at Ohio University. Guided by narrative and feminist sensibilities, her scholarship explores the communicative construction of possibility as individuals and groups organize for survival and social change. Her teaching, research, and service focus on cancer care, disability activism, and the organizing of health care resources for underserved populations. She lives in Athens, Ohio with her husband, Scott, daughter, Emma Grace, and basset hounds Ned and Cleo.
