Lucia Knapcikova was born on July 6th 1984 in Bardejov (Slovakia). She works at the Department of Industrial Engineering and Informatics at the Faculty of Manufacturing Technologies (FMT) of Technical University of Košice as researcher. In 2017 she completed her Habilitation for Associate Professor at the FMT in the field "Manufacturing Technologies". In 2011 she completed her Ph.D. study at the above mentioned Faculty. Assoc. Prof. Knapčíková, Ph.D., is author more than 150 scientific papers in Slovakia and abroad and she is owner of 6 utility models. She participated in several international research projects, mainly in Germany. Most important project is H2020 Less Than Wagon Load (Project duration 2017-2020) in collaboration with Belgium, Germany, Netherland, Italy and Slovakia, where she´s position is Faculty project coordinator. Project has the objective to develop a SMART specialised logistics cluster for the chemical industry in the Port of Antwerp in order to shift transport volumes from road to rail freight. Actually, she participated on project EUROSTARS (BRIDGE2ERA Programm) with collaboration of Technical University of Applied Sciences in Wildau (TH Wildau), Germany. Aim of the project is Industry 4.0 strategic orientation between universities and SME. She lectured at the universities in the Germany (TH Wildau), Czech Republic (TU Liberec) and Croatia (J.J. Strossmayer University of Osijek, Mechanical Engineering Faculty in Slavonski Brod). Her area of interest includes SMART technologies, SMART materials, applications possibilities directly in the industry. In the year 2018 she was awarded in the category “Personality of Science and Technology under 35 years“. The Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic, in support of the development of science and technology and the recognition of the exceptional achievements in this field, awarded the Science and Technology Awards – the highest award in science and technology, for the year 2018. She is member of European Alliance for Innovation, Belgium (www.eai.eu), TEAM Society in Croatia. She is active member in the Editorial Board of Acta Tecnología Journal (Slovakia), SAR Journal (Serbia). From beginning year 2018 she works on the position Editor- in- chief in Journal EAI Endorsed Transaction on Future Internet- Gent, Belgium. She is responsible person for organizing of International conferences under EAI organization for the Conference on Management of Manufacturing Systems 2019 and previously MMS2018, MMS2017, MMS2016.
Michal Balog is head of Department of Industrial Engineering and Informatics at Faculty of Manufacturing Technologies with a seat in Prešov, TU Košice. His scientific and educational field is oriented on the green logistics, management, quality control and methods of production systems. He is the organizer of many domestic and international conferences, acts as tutor on PhD study programs and has participated in numerous slovak and international projects as team member and as the project head. Most important project is H2020 "Less Than Wagon Load", where he participated as a team member and in the year 2015 he finished project entitled "Promotion & Enhancement of Centre for Research on Transportation” with EU Structural Funds. He is author more than 100 publications in Slovakia and abroad.
Dragan Perakovic- graduated and completed his Master’s degree and Ph.D. (doctoral dissertation title: ‘The Model of Information Distribution to Traffic System Users’) from the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences (FPZ) at the University of Zagreb. Post graduation, he began his career at the FPZ where he currently holds the positions of Head of Department for Information and Communication Traffic and Head of Chair of Information Communication Systems and Services Management. He has engaged in several international scientific projects and R&D studies as a researcher, leading researcher and evaluator (CiViTAS ELAN, Harmonized Inland Navigation Transport Through Education and Information Technology – HINT, Green Intermodal Freight Transport – GIFT, etc.). He was the initiator and leading researcher for many important national projects such as the Research of the Context of the use of Smartphones and Related Information and Communication Services, Research of Possibilities on Applying the IoT Concept to Improve the Safety Movement of Blind and Visually Impaired Persons along the Traffic Network, Information and Communication Services for the Movement along the Traffic Network by the Persons of Reduced and Difficult Mobility, etc. He is an author/co-author of more than 100 science papers (including two CC papers) and studies presented in journals and proceedings of international conferences, and five chapters in international scientific books. He also participated in educational activities within the Faculty, as a lecturer and mentor for undergraduate and graduate study programs. Until now, he has been mentoring more than 100 undergraduate and graduate students and 3 postgraduate doctoral students. Prof. Dr. Dragan Perakovic is a member, board member and official editor of many journals and conferences of his profession, such as International Telecommunications Society (ITS), International Telecommunication Union (ITU), IEEE Communications Society, European Alliance for Innovation (EAI), DAAAM International, The Society of Digital Information and Wireless Communications (SDIWC), Scientific Council for Traffic of Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts (HAZU) and the Croatian Chamber of Traffic and Transport Technologies (HKITPT), etc. Prof. Dr. Dragan Peraković is chief editor of the International Journal of Cyber-Security and Digital Forensics (IJCSDF).
Marko Perisa- was born on March 2, 1979, in Zagreb where he finished elementary and high school and enrolled in Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences, University of Zagreb (postal and telecommunication course). During the academic year 2002/2003 he received the Rector’s Award of University of Zagreb for student work titled “Model of multiple-criteria decision making in the function of selecting mobile telephony operatory in Republic of Croatia). On April 11, 2013 he defended doctoral dissertation on Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences titled “Dynamic guiding and routing of disabled and visually impaired persons in traffic”. He is the Head of the Laboratory of Development and Research of Information and Communication Assistive Technology and Head of Chair of Information Communication Systems and Networks. Since 2005, he is a part of the Register of Researches at the MZO under the registered number 269095. In his scientific research work he published more than 40 papers in scientific journals and international scientific conferences and three chapters in scientific books. He also participated in several international (EU), national, faculty projects and supporting programs for research at the University of Zagreb which deal with issues in traffic technologies. He is a member of societies: TM Forum, Daaam International, International Telecommunications Society (ITS), Institute for Systems and Technologies of Information, Control and Communication (INSTICC), European Alliance for Innovation (EAI). He is also a member of Supervising Board of the Croatian Chamber of Traffic and Transport Technologies (HKITPT), professional class of engineers of postal, information and communication traffic, and a member of Scientific Council for Traffic of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts (Traffic Medicine and Traffic Safety Section).
