Linda Rodriguez has published poetry and fiction in numerous journals such as Downgo Sun, New Letters, Plainswoman, Present Magazine, The Kansas City Star, Wheelhouse Magazine, Writer's Digest, and Z Miscellaneous. Her work has appeared in several anthologies, including Primera Pagina: Poetry From the Latino Heartland (Scapegoat Press, 2008). And her chapbook, Skin Hunger, (Potpourri Publications, 1995, Scapegoat Press, 2007) was named by Michael Bujega of Writer's Digest as one of the four top poetry chapbooks of the year. Rodriguez has also published numerous articles for general and scholarly publications, most recently three articles on Rudolfo Anaya's work in the Encyclopedia of Hispanic Literature (Facts on File, 2008). She has also published a cookbook, The "I Don't Know How to Cook Mexican" Book (Adams Media, 2008). Linda Rodriguez is also vice-president of the Latino Writers Collective, founder/coordinator of the annual Kansas City Women Writers Reading Series, and founding board member of The Writers Place. A former Director of the UMKC Women's Center, she was a co-convenor of the Women & Environment Caucus at the United Nations international conference, "Women 2000: Beijing Plus Five." She is a founder of the University Women's Leadership Institute and the Missouri Women's Leadership Coalition. She has a B.A. and an M.A. in English from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She is currently writing a novel.
