Linda Evans is an Honorary Associate in the Department of Ancient History, Macquarie University, Sydney, and specialises in the depiction of animals in Egyptian art. Prior to her research in Egyptology, she worked in the field of animal communication in laboratories at Rockefeller University, New York and the University of California, Davis. She has published a number of papers on the role and representation of animals in the ancient world.
