Liming Xiu Author

Liming Xiu earned his B.S. and M.S. degrees in physics from Tsinghua University, China, in 1986 and 1988, respectively, and his MEEE from Texas A&M University, College Station, TX, USA, in 1995. In 1995–2009, he worked for Texas Instruments, Dallas, TX, USA as SMTS (Senior Member Technical Staff). In 2009–2012, he was chief clock architect of Novatek Microelectronics, Taiwan. In 2012–2015, he was VP of Kairos Microsystems, Dallas, USA. From 2015, he works for BOE Technology Group, Beijing, China, as chief scientist on IC technology and VP of Research. He served as a VP of IEEE Circuit and System Society in years 2009–2010. He is the inventor of Flying-Adder frequency synthesis architecture, promoter of Time-Average-Frequency concept and theory. He has 36 US patents and has published multiple technical papers. He has previously published three books: “VLSI Circuit Design Methodology Demystified,” “Nanometer Frequency Synthesis beyond Phase-Locked Loop” and “From Frequency to Time-Average-Frequency: A Paradigm Shift in the Design of Electronic system.” He is also an invited author for three book chapters.
