Dr Yifan Zhao is a Reader in Data Science in the Centre for Life-cycle Engineering and Management (CLEM) at Cranfield University and the academic lead of the Through-life Engineering Services Lab. He has over 18 years of experience in image/signal processing, computer vision and artificial intelligence (AI) for degradation assessment and anomaly detection for complex systems. He was the Co-Investigator on the £1.6m EPSRC project CogShift (EP/N012089/1) addressing the operation of driverless cars, and EPSRC IAA (EP/R511511/1) project in collaboration with Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), leading the research on characterising driver behaviour using computer vision and AI. He has produced more than 150 publications including 110 peer-reviewed journal papers, more than 30 conference papers 3 book chapters and 3 patents. Chen Lv is an Assistant Professor at Nanyang Technology University, Singapore. Before this appointment he was a joint Ph.D. researcher at EECS Dept., UC Berkeley, USA 2014-2015. His research focuses on advanced vehicles and human-machine systems, where he has contributed over 100 papers and obtained 12 Chinese patents. He received the Highly Commended Paper Award of IMechE UK in 2012, the National Fellowship for Doctoral Student in 2013, the NSK Outstanding Mechanical Engineering Paper Award in 2014, the China SAE Outstanding Paper Award in 2015, the 1st Class Award of China Automotive Industry Scientific and Technological Invention in 2015, Tsinghua University Outstanding Doctoral Thesis Award in 2016, and IV 2018 Best Workshop/Special Issue Paper Award. Lichao Yang received his B.Eng. degree in Automotive Engineering from Coventry University in 2017 and his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Automotive Mechatronics and Manufacturing from Cranfield University in 2018 and 2021, respectively. He is currently a Research Fellow in Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence at the Centre for Life-cycle Engineering and Management at Cranfield University. His research interests include computer vision, image processing, deep learning, machine learning, and human behaviour analysis. He was awarded the Worshipful Company of Founders Award for the best PhD/EngD thesis for the academic year 2020-2021 and the Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-financed Student Abroad in 2021.
