Leigh Newman Author

Leigh Newman's stories have appeared in Harper's, Paris Review, One Story, Tin House, McSweeney's Quarterly Concern and the Best American Short Story anthology. In 2020, her work was awarded a Pushcart Prize, an American Society of Magazine Editor's selection for best new fiction (for work in the Paris Review), and honoured with the Paris Review's Terry Southern Prize. Her first book, Still Points North, a memoir about growing up in Alaskawas a finalist for the National Book Critic Circle's John Leonard Prize.
