Dr Mohamed Elchalakani is Associate Professor and the Director of the Structural Laboratory at the University of Western Australia. He is the author of 2 important books "Single Skin and Double Skin Concrete Filled Tubular Structures-Analysis and Design" and "Geopolmer Concrete Structures with Steel and FRP Reinforcements-Anaysis and Design" published by Elsevier. He also received the prestigious Japanese Society for Promotion of Science Fellowship. His total research funds today is in excess of $1.5m from competitive grants, consutlting, and industry funded projects. Dr Bo Yang is currently a full professor in the School of Civil Engineering, Chongqing University, China. He obtained his PhD in 2013 from the School of Civil & Environmental Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. His expertise includes experimental tests and numerical modelling of steel and composite structures under progressive collapse scenarios. He serves as reviewers for several top international journals in structural engineering, such as Journal of Constructional Steel Research and Engineering Structures. He is listed in Stanford University 2020 list of the top 2% scientists in the world. Mr Kuanhong Mao is a PhD candidate in the School of Civil Engineering, Chongqing University, China. At present, he is committed to develop new building materials. In addition, he specialises in experiments and numerical modelling of steel and composite structures. Dr Pham BE, PhD is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Civil and Mechanical Engineering, Curtin University, Australia. He is ranked within the top 2% of researchers in the world in 2021 (one year measure). Pham has published 134 technical papers including 1 book chapter, 3 keynote papers, 105 peer-reviewed journal articles, and 25 conference papers. 9 of his publications have been listed as the most-cited papers in respective journals (SJR Q1). He co-chaired the 7th international conference on Protection of Structures against Hazards in Hanoi, Viet Nam. Pham is currently an elected committee member of Concrete Institute of Australia (CIA), WA. Pham’s research has been well regarded through half dozen research awards and recognitions. Pham as a chief investigator won five competitive research grants and many industrial projects, > $800k in total. He is an editorial board member of two international journals including International Journal of Protective Structures and Journal of Science and Technology in Civil Engineering.
