Kevin R. Loughlin, MD received his AB from Princeton University and his MD from New York Medical College. He also holds an MBA from Boston University and has received an MA (Hon) from Harvard University. He is a professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School and is on the surgical staff at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, and Massachusetts General Hospital. He has written and lectured extensively on prostate disease throughout his career. John Nimmo started his work life in publishing, first as a copywriter for a New York City trade magazine publisher, then with Harvard Business Review, and later with Reader’s Digest. He went on to consult for the Harvard Medical School Health Letter before founding Health News Digest in 1988, a health newsletter for customers of independent insurance agents. In 1995, with a son who publishes Physicians MarketPlace, and with a frequent medical commentator on television (Dr. Keith Ablow), he formed Medical Education Resources to work with the National Institutes of Health in developing sponsors to bring the results of the Institutes’ research before the public. Last year, he arranged to work with the FDA to help disseminate particulars of adverse drug reactions.
