Brian Dillon is an emergency planning specialist with 30 years experience across the UK public sector as a police officer and as an independent consultant. Recognised as a nuclear emergency response expert advising at national and ACPO level, and appearing to give evidence at a public inquiry, he has worked overseas, most recently in China, lectured at the Cabinet Office Emergency Planning College, and was engaged as an MSc marker in risk, crisis and disaster management for a leading UK university. His plans have been used to manage a wide range of emergencies including the Morecombe Bay cockling disaster of 2004 and the 2007 Cumbria Virgin train crash. Ian Dickinson is the former Deputy Chief Constable of Lothian & Borders Police, where he served at the rank of chief officer for more than 20 years. In 2002 he was responsible for Specialist Operations, including the planning of the G8 summit, the Edinburgh Tattoo, Hogmanay, and civil nuclear resilience issues. John Williamson is founder and ex-Chairman of the Institute of Fire Safety Managers. A former Assistant Chief Fire Officer, he has commanded many major incidents, such as the Piper Alpha platform disaster, and is also a forensic fire investigator. Professor Keith Still is a published author specialising in crowd risk analysis, with over 25 years' experience of major events. His projects have included the royal wedding in 2011, the Sydney Olympics in 2000 and the London Olympics in 2012, and Al Jamarat, Saudi Arabia 2000-2005. He is a leading software developer in crowd simulation dynamics, working with leading international companies.
