After working 38 years in elementary education as a first and second grade teacher, as well as a certified reading specialist, Kathy Young understands the need for quality literature that not only entertains children, but educates them. Her first book, Peter Abbitt, The Horse Who Thought He Was a Dog, introduces a working horse who has a playful side.The second installment in the Peter Abbitt series, Peter Abbitt and the Big Flood, injects heroism into a story that teaches the power of courage, kindness, and supporting others during difficult times. Kathy currently resides in Newport News, Virginia. Lyndsey Morris has felt and expressed a true artistic passion for as long as she can remember. Her grandmother recognized Lyndsey’s natural talent and enrolled her in private art lessons as a child which encouraged and cultivated that innate talent. Lyndsey has combined her formal lessons with her natural talent to bring text to life in this work and more.
