He has worked in the past ten years in several enterprises and countries as Industrial Director. He has MSc and currently pursues his PhD in Industrial Engineering and Management. His main areas of research are operations management, lean management, JIT and innovation.
J.C.O. Matias is a Full Professor at the Department of Economics, Management, Industrial Engineering and Tourism of the University of Aveiro (UA), being also the Coordinator of Industrial Engineering and Management Research Area and Director of the PhD program in Industrial Engineering and Management. He is a researcher at the C-Mast-UBI Research Unit and at the GOVCOPP-UA Research Unit. His main research area is in general industrial engineering and management and management systems and energy and sustainability in particular.

Carina Pimentel is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics, Management, Industrial Engineering and Tourism of the University of Aveiro. She is a researcher at the Decision Support Systems group of the GOVCOPP Research Unit from the same University. Her main research areas include: operations management, logistics and supply chain management (SCM) and operations research.

Susana Garrido Azevedo is an Associated Professor with habilitation at the Business & Economics Department at University of Beira Interior, Covilhã, Portugal. She belongs to the Research Unit CEFAGE-UBI and her areas of expertise are the following: operations management, logistics and supply chain management (SCM) and sustainability.
