Julie Faith Parker Author & Editor

Julie Faith Parker (PhD, Yale University) is professor of biblical studies and associate dean for academic affairs at the General Theological Seminary in New York City. An ordained minister in the United Methodist Church, she has worked full time as a pastor and university chaplain and continues teaching and preaching in congregations. She is the author of Valuable and Vulnerable: Children in the Hebrew Bible and Especially the Elisha Cycle, editor of My So-Called Biblical Life: Imagined Stories from the World's Best-Selling Book, and coeditor (with Sharon Betsworth) of the T&T Clark Handbook of Children in the Bible and the Biblical World.
