Jorge Luis García Alcaraz is a full-time researcher from the Department of Industrial Engineering at the Autonomous University of Ciudad Juarez in Mexico. He receives a MSc in Industrial Engineering from the Colima Technological Institute (Mexico), a PhD in Industrial Engineering from Ciudad Juárez Technological Institute (Mexico), a PhD in Innovation in Product Engineering and Industrial Process from University of La Rioja (Spain), a Ph.D. in Sciences and Industrial Technologies from the Public University of Navarre (Spain) and a Postdoc in Manufacturing Process from University of La Rioja (Spain). In addition, his main research areas are related to multicriteria decision making process and techniques applied to lean manufacturing, production process, and supply chain modeling. He is founding member of the Mexican Society of Operation Research and an active member in the Mexican Academy of Industrial Engineering. Currently, Dr. García is a National Researcher recognized by the National Council of Science & Technology of Mexico (CONACYT) as Level II. Dr. García is author/coauthor in around 86 papers published in journals indexed in the Journal Citation Reports, as well as he has attended to more than 150 international conferences and congress around the world.
Currently, Dr. Garcia has supervised more than 50 bachelor theses, 18 master theses, and 13 doctoral theses. He has 13 international patents and 1 industrial design in Mexico and Spain. Dr. García is author of several books published by international publishers as Springer and IGI Global, all of them related to lean manufacturing, its tools, as well as techniques, kaizen, supply chain, and just in time philosophies. Also, Dr. García was the winner of the Chihuahua State Science and Technology Award in 2015, and nowadays he is member of several doctoral committees in universities from Mexico, Colombia, and Spain.
Cuauhtémoc Sánchez Ramírez is a full-time researcher from the Division of Research and Postgraduate Studies of the Orizaba Technology Institute. He received a PhD in Industrial Engineering from COMIMSA, center of research of National Council of Science Technology of Mexico (CONACYT). His research projects have been recognized by CONACYT and PRODEP. Dr. Sánchez is a founding member in the Industrial Process Optimization Network (ROPRIN) as well as a member of the National Researcher System by CONACYT level 1. He has won the National Logistics Prize in 2017 that was given by the Secretariat of Economy, The Secretariat of Communications and Transportation of Mexico, and Soy Logístico Association in the Academic Category.
Similarly, he has supervised 6 bachelor theses, 9 master theses, and 3 Ph.D. theses, currently he is working on 3 master theses and 2 Ph.D. theses that are in progress. He has been editor of the following books: New Perspectives on Applied Industrial Tools and Techniques, published by Springer Verlag, Handbook of Research on Managerial Strategies for Achieving Optimal Performance in Industrial Processes, published by IGI Global Publishing. He has given 6 magistral conferences and workshops on Industrial Engineering, mainly focused in the supply chain performance; he has 2 international patents.
Moreover, his research interests are modeling and simulation of logistics process as well as supply chain from a system dynamics approach. He is author/coauthor in around 50 journal and conference papers in logistics and supply chain management.
Alfonso Jesús Gil López is a full-time research professor in the Department of Economics and Business at the University of La Rioja - Spain. In addition, he is a visiting professor in the Department of Didactics and School Organization and a tutor in the Department of Economics and Business at the National University of Distance Education UNED - Spain. He completed a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business Administration at UNED, a Ph.D. in Educational Sciences at UNED, and a Ph.D. in Economic and Business Sciences at UNED. His main line of research is related to people’s learning and development as well as processes in organizations. Throughout his career, Dr. Gil has published in numerous journals with high impact rates - Journal of Citation Reports JCR. Also, he has published several sections in books in Editorials of recognized international prestige. Finally, he has presented more than 50 conferences, both as an attendee and as a speaker in different Congresses of international prestige.
