Jonathan Emmett is a bestselling author and paper engineer. He is the creator of the successful Ruby series for Macmillan and author of The Santa Trap and Here Be Monsters. He is also the creator of hugely successful series including Emergency Rescue! featuring amazing pop-up machines. He has won the Red House Children's Book Award and been shortlisted for the Richard and Judy book awards.

Rebecca Harry is a hugely talented and popular illustrator and this is her third collaboration with Jonathan. As well as bringing the delightful duckling Ruby to life, her previous work for Macmillan includes, Catch That Kitten! and a series of board books for Campbell Books. Rebecca lives in Wales with her husband and their two young children.
