John O'Donnell served time as music editor at Rolling Stone (Australia) and as editor of Juice magazine before crossing to the dark side in the mid '90s, starting the internationally successful Murmur label (Silverchair, Something For Kate, Jebediah). In 2002, he became CEO of EMI Music Australia/NZ. He jumped ship in 2008 to write this book and pursue other life adventures, returning to EMI in 2013. His favourite album of all time changes constantly. This week it is either Tonight's the Night by Neil Young, Tusk by Fleetwood Mac or Neutral Milk Hotel's In The Aeroplane Over The Sea.Toby Creswell has been writing about popular culture for 30 years. After editing the Australian edition of Rolling Stone for 10 years he co-founded the magazine publishing house Terraplanet. He has written numerous books: 1001 Songs (Hardie Grant), Love Is in the Air, Notorious Australians, Too Much Ain't Enough, The Real Thing (with Martin Fabinyi) and 1001 Australians. He has been involved in writing and producing documentaries for many years, including The Great Australian Albums series, the feature-length concert film Cannot Buy My Soul and a biopic on Johnny O'Keefe, The Wild One. He was executive producer of the Paul Kelly documentary Stories of Me. He played the Vox Continental on the seminal 45 `Cool in the Tube'.Craig Mathieson covers contemporary music and film for The Age, Sunday Age, The Sydney Morning Herald and The Sun-Herald. A former editor of Juice magazine, contributor to London's New Music Express and film critic for The Bulletin, he has been writing about Australian music since 1989.
