Johannes Wilhelm Gossling, Ph.D., is a research associate at the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory, Lisbon, Portugal. He received a Ph.D. from the University of Copenhagen in 2017 for his work on biophotonics of diatoms. He has published 9 manuscripts related to diatom photosynthesis and frustule photonic research. Johannes has published in leading journals such as the New Phytologist and Advanced Science. He is the first scientist to demonstrate how diatoms frustrate bear slab photonic crystals.
Joao Serodio, Ph.D., is an assistant professor in the Department of Biology at the University of Aveiro in Lisbon, Portugal. He holds a Ph.D. in biology from the University of Lisbon. His research focuses on the photobiology and ecophysiology of marine primary producers. He has published 7 books and edited Advances and Challenges in Micriphytobenthos Research. Seredio is the principal investigator of one European project and a scientist in charge of one career integration grant.
Johann Lavaud, Ph.D., is a CRNS scientist at the European Institute for Marine Studies in Paris, France. He completed his Ph.D. in the photosynthesis of diatoms in 2002 at the University of Paris. His research focuses on the diversity and productivity of how diatoms are impacted by the environment. His research has been published in 66 articles in peer-reviewed international journals.
