Jenny Gaschke Author & Editor

Jenny Gaschke, the book's general editor, is senior curator of paintings and drawings at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London. She studied at the universities of Freiburg, Glasgow, and Berlin before working as an assistant curator at the Staatsgalerie Stuttgart (2003–5). From 2005 to 2012 Jenny worked at the National Maritime Museum, Greenwich, first as curator of prints and drawings and then as curator of art. She worked as curator of art, Pre-1900, at Bristol Museum & Art Gallery from 2012 until 2021, when she joined the V&A.
