Celeste Callahan was an English teacher and had articles published in magazines. She took up running in the mid-1970s, triathlon in the mid-1980s, founded an all women triathlon training group in 1997, and served on a number of International Triathlon Union and USA Triathlon committees and was a member of the USA Triathlon executive board.
Dorothy Simpson Dorion is an accomplished artist, has a professional and educational background in nursing, education, and sports. She worked for Title IX compliance in Northeast Florida, and developed numerous active wellbeing and health care programs. She started running in the early 1970s, took up triathlon in the early 1980s and was a member of the International Triathlon Union Women's Committee. In the 1990s she worked to encourage women in developing countries to participate in triathlons.
Jane E. Hunt is an assistant professor at Bond University, Gold Coast, Australia with a research interest in women and individual participatory sports. A runner and triathlete, she is also president of a local triathlon club.
