James Phillips Author, Editor & Translator

James Phillips is a writer and director. His first performed play as writer, The Little Fir Tree, a fairy story inspired by Hans Christian Anderson, was commissioned by the Crucible Theatre, Sheffield and opened in December 2004. As a director his productions include Frankie and Johnny at the Claire de Lune at the Sound Theatre, Leicester Square, The Little Fir Tree and Macbeth at the Crucible The atre, Sheffield, Trettondagsafton at Teatre Hogskolan in Stockholm, and Observe the Sons of Ulster M arching Towards the Somme at the Pleasance Theatre, London, a production for which he won an inventi on and innovation award from NESTA, the national endowment for the arts.
