Jacqueline Rhoads, PhD, APRN-BC, PMHNP-BE, FAANP is Professor at University of Texas Medical Branch School of Nursing. She has earned her PhD from the University of Texas in Austin Texas; post-Master’s degrees in Acute Care NP, Community Health Primary Care Adult NP, Gerontology NP, and Psych Mental Health NP. She is a Fellow in the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and was awarded numerous commendations and medals for meritorious 30 year service in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps; academic and teaching awards; outstanding research and practice award; six teaching excellence awards; authored three books for major nursing publishers as well as numerous articles. Sandra Petersen is an Associate Professor in the Family Nurse Practitioner Program at the University of Texas at Tyler, Texas and maintains a private practice, seeing patients in the Dallas and Houston areas. She was formerly the Program Track Administrator for the Masters in Nursing Leadership Program at UTMB Galveston. She earned her Bachelor's degree in business and biology from East Texas Baptist University and also received a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA.
