A lifelong Connecticut resident and longtime newspaper editor, Jack Sanders first became interested in wildflowers in the 1970s, when he undertook a project to catalog and photograph local wildlife. The northeastern regional editor of Wildflower magazine, he has also written about wildflowers for The New York Times and other periodicals. His previous wildflower book, Hedgemaids and Fairy Candles, is considered by many to be a classic. Now the editor of The Ridgefield Press, he lives with his wife, Sally, in Ridgefield, Connecticut.
