P.K. Chakrabarty, PhD served as Assistant Director General (Plant Protection & Biosafety) and Member (Plant Sciences), ASRB, New Delhi. He did pioneer research on host-pathogen interaction, functional genomics and diagnostics. He is an adjunct faculty of the University of Florida, Gainesville and had post-doctoral research experience at the University of Florida, Gainesville and at the University of Missouri-Columbia, USA.
Kalyan K Mondal, PhD is a Principal Scientist at ICAR-IARI, New Delhi. He is a visiting fellow at Stanford University, California, USA and has significantly contributed to understanding the role of bacterial Type-3-Secretion-System (T3SS) effectors in the modulation of plant defense.
M. S. Saharan, PhD is Head, Division of Plant Pathology, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi. He contributed significantly to wheat pathology research and in strategy implementation for managing wheat rusts and Karnal bunt. He worked on many international collaborative research projects viz., ISCB, ACIAR, CIMMYT, BBSRC etc.
C. D. Mayee, PhD is a legendary plant pathologist who served as Vice Chancellor-MAU Parbhani; Director-Central Institute of Cotton, Nagpur and Agriculture Commissioner, Govt. of India, New Delhi before superannuating as the Chairman, ASRB, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, Government of India.
J. Kumar, PhD is an Alexander Humboldt Fellow of Germany and served as Joint Director, School of Crop Health Biology Research and Director of ICAR-NIBSM, Chhattisgarh. He has vast experience of developing plant disease forecasting models. He worked on the biochemical basis of host resistance in cereals.
