Gloria Hunniford OBE is one of the most prolific and talented British broadcasters, with a career spanning seven decades. In 1982 she became the first woman to have her own daily radio show on BBC Radio 2, which she presented continuously for 13 years - and she was one of the first female broadcasters to host her own chat show with the highly successful, Sunday, Sunday. Gloria currently presents the BBC consumer programmes Rip-Off Britain, Rip-Off Britain: Food, Rip-Off Britain: Holidays and Food: Truth Or Scare. Forget ageism - Gloria has just been recommissioned to present Rip-Off: Britain until 2019. She regularly appears on This Morning and The One Show as well as being one of the current presenters of Loose Women for ITV. Gloria has won many prestigious awards during her long career, the latest being her OBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours List 2017. In January 2017, Gloria was nominated for a Broadcast Award in the Best Daytime Programme category for her exclusive interview with Sir Cliff Richard after he was exonerated from unfounded charges. Other awards include TV Personality of the Year, Radio Personality of the Year and Best Dressed Female, as well as the Television and Radio Industries Club Lifetime Achievement Award in 2001. She is a patron of a number of charities and dedicates much time to the causes she supports including the one closest to her heart, The Caron Keating Foundation, which Gloria founded in honour of her daughter Caron who passed away in 2004 after a seven-year battle with breast cancer; a foundation that supports all types of cancer charities across the country.
