Don Chen, PhD, LEED, has over 30 years of experience in the engineering field. He is a professor at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where he teaches Highway Design and Construction, Applied Analytics and Machine Learning, and Building Information Modeling (BIM). His research interests include pavement performance evaluation and pavement management, focusing on enhancing roadway network performance through local calibration, performance modeling, and deep learning.
