George Puttenham Author

George Puttenham (1529–1590) was an English writer and literary critic. Frank Whigham is Arthur J. Thaman and Wilhelmina Doré Thaman Professor of English at the University of Texas at Austin. He is the author of Seizures of the Will in Early Modern English Drama and Ambition and Privilege: The Social Tropes of Elizabethan Courtesy Theory. Wayne A. Rebhorn is Celanese Centennial Professor of English at the University of Texas at Austin. He is the author of several books, including The Emperor of Men's Minds: Literature and the Renaissance Discourse of Rhetoric, also from Cornell.
