Michele Savonarola (1385–1466) was a Renaissance physician, philosopher, court physician, and renowned professor in Padua and Ferrara. A trusted counselor of princes, Savonarola authored more than thirty works on medical, moral, political, historical, and religious issues. Gabriella Zuccolin is a lecturer in medieval philosophy at the University of Pavia in Italy. Martin Marafioti is professor of Italian at Pace University.
