G. D. Spilsbury is the author of short stories set in Italy's olive hills, Sabina Quartet, and two cultural landscape histories about Washington, DC, A Washington Sketchbook and Rock Creek Park. Spilsbury has lived and worked abroad in Italy, Poland, and Guyana, and currently resides in Boston, Massachusetts.
