Mehmet Turgut, MD, PhD, is Professor of Neurosurgery at Aydın Adnan Menderes University School of Medicine, Aydın, Turkey. He graduated from the Ege University School of Medicine, İzmir, Turkey and later specialized in neurosurgery in Hacettepe University Hospitals, Ankara, Turkey. In 2004, he received the PhD degree from the Department of Embryology and Histology, Ege University Health Sciences Institute, İzmir, Turkey. His fields of expertise and research interests are broad and include developmental neuroscience, pediatric neurosurgery, infectious diseases of the central nervous system, and peripheral nerve surgery. Dr. Turgut is an editorial board member for 25 international journals including European Spine Journal, Surgical Neurology International, Journal of Neurological Surgery Part A: Central European Neurosurgery, Journal of Spine, Journal of Pediatric Neurology, Journal of Brachial Plexus and Peripheral Nerve Injury, Journal of Spine & Neurosurgery, and Journal of Neurosciences in Rural Practice and a reviewer for a wide range of international journals and research programs. Dr. Turgut is the lead or co-author of more than 300 papers in peer-reviewed journals and about 74 book chapters and he is one of the editors in 16 books including Pituitary Apoplexy, Hydatidosis of the Central Nervous System: Diagnosis and Treatment, Complications of CSF Shunting in Hydrocephalus: Prevention, Identification and Management, The Chiari Malformations, The Sutures of the Skull: Anatomy, Embryology, Imaging, and Surgery; Subdural Hematoma: Past to Present to Future Management.

Fuyou Guo, MD, is Professor of Neurosurgery at The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University, PR China. He graduated from Henan Medical University, Zhengzhou, PR China and obtained the MD degree from the Department of West China Medical Center of Sichuan University, Chengdu, PR China, in 2005. He underwent postdoctoral research in Universityof Michigan, Annarbor, USA in 2008. His fields of expertise and research interests are broad and include cerebrovascular diseases, brain tumor, congenital malformations of the central nervous system, pediatric neurosurgery and peripheral nerve surgery. Dr. Fuyou is an editorial board member for 2 international journals including Glioma, Brain &Heart. He is a reviewer for a wide range of international journals including Cancer biology & Medicine, Neurocritical Care, Aging-US, Neurotoxicity Research, Orphanet Journal of Rare Diseases. Dr. Guo is the lead or co-author of more than 100 papers in peer-reviewed journals and he is one of the editors in 4 Chinese books including Chiari Malformation, Nervous System Tumors, Perioperative Management in Neurosurgery, Precise Operation for Chiari Malformation.

 

Ahmet T. Turgut, MD, is Professor of Radiology at Ankara Medipol University in Ankara, Turkey. He has nearly 25 years experiencein the field of radiology with key roles in diagnostics, academics and administration. Dr. Turgut’s research interests include diagnostic and interventional oncologic imaging and the use of hybrid imaging techniques for the diagnosis and treatment of cancers in particular. He has published more than 100 original papers in peer-reviewed journals and has authored 60 chapters in several textbooks in English including many on neuroradiology. He is editor of three reference books published by Springer. Dr. Turgut has given more than 90 invited lectures at distinguished scientific meetings including the European Congress of Radiology, International Congress of Radiology and Annual Meetings of the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM), European Federation of Societies for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (EFSUMB), Asian Ocenian Society of Radiology and European Society of Urogenital Radiology (ESUR). He served as the Congress President in ESUR 2013, 20th Annual Meeting of the ESUR held in Istanbul, Turkey. He has been honored as an elected-fellow of the ESUR in 2006. He served as executive board member and general secretary of the Turkish Society of Radiology from 2011 to 2013. He was given Honorary Membership by Iranian Society of Radiology and Georgian Association of Radiology, respectively.


Prof. Sanjay Behari, MBBS, MS, MCh, DNB, IFAANS, FAMS, is the Director of Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram, India, an Institute of National Importance under Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. He has been a member of the Department of Neurosurgery, Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), Lucknow for 30 years, as faculty for 28 years, as a Professor for 11 years and as its Head for 6 years. He has been an editor of 15 books, has 360 peer reviewed publications (Google scholar H index 41, i10 index 151), 142 chapter in books, has guided several MCh Neurosurgery and neurotology senior residents, PhD and MD students, and has been examiner for 32 Indian universities and the country examiner for Sudan as well thesis examiner of South Africa. He has been an “Sugita International Fellow” at the Department of Neurosurgery, Nagoya University School of Medicine, Nagoya, Japan; an International Scholar at the Department of Neurosurgery, Fujita Health University, Aichi, Japan; International Union Against Cancer ICRETT Fellow at the Department of Neurosurgery, University of Erlangen-Nurnberg, Germany; Fellow at the Department of Neurosurgery, Universities of Geneva and Lausanne, Switzerland; Commonwealth Academic Staff Clinical Fellow at the Department of Neurosurgery, Newcastle General Hospital, UK; Association of Spinal Surgeons of India Dartmouth Fellow at the Department of Orthopedics, Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Centre, New Hampshire, USA. His focused area of interest is skull base surgery, spinal and cerebrovascular surgery. He has been a Visiting Professor to Nagoya and Fukushima, University, Japan; Cantonal University, Geneva, Switzerland; Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, USA; and Hospital Garcia de Orta, Almada, Lisbon, Portugal. He is on the editorial board of 12 journals and reviewer for 30 journals. During his 6-year tenure as Chief Editor of Neurology India, its Thomson Reuter impact factor reached to 2.708, the highest ever in 65 years and among one of the highest among international neurosurgical journals. He has 4 filed patents has taken several national orations and has conducted 6 live operative demonstrations and 237 guest presentations. He has won several institutional awards, including being best institutional researcher, guide in best institutional research award, being a part of a team with IIT Kanpur won the James Dyson national award for best biomedical invention in India in 2017, and the best publication award at World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies 2022. He is also on the Governing body and Board of Studies of Several National Institutes, as well as National Government Health and Medical Education Committees in India.
