For about two decades, Prof. Francis Verpoort has carried out broad and fruitful teaching and research activity at Ghent University in various areas of materials chemistry, including organometallics, catalysis, molecular spectroscopy, related with notable applications in the production of fine chemicals and advanced polymeric materials. He has developed an extensive international scientific cooperation with scientists worldwide, taking part as an active member in different international scientific organizations, as well as in numerous successful bilateral collaboration projects with foreign academic institutions and universities across Europe, China, Russia, India, and in the UAE. In 2011, he was also appointed as Chair Professor at Wuhan University of Technology, China, where he established a research group covering organometallics and materials chemistry. Prof. Verpoort’s main research interests concern the structure and mechanisms of organometallic material chemistry, homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis, MOFs and MOPs, Porous Organic Polymers (POPs), water splitting, olefin metathesis and its applications in fine chemicals and polymers, CO2 conversion, polymers. A particular specialism is the application of MOFs, POPs for the environment, water purification, and downstream upgrading applications. Dr. Ikram Ahmad is an assistant professor in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Sahiwal, Pakistan. His research interests are inorganic material chemistry, catalysis, nanomaterials and their application in organic synthesis, organic transformations, degradation, sensing, and photocatalysis. Awais Ahmad s/o Muhammad Aslam Haral is working as Researcher at Departamento de Quimica Organica, Universidad de Cordoba, Edificio Marie Curie (C-3), Ctra Nnal IV-A, Km 396, E14014 Cordoba, Spain Under supervision of Prof Rafael Luque. He done his graduation from Government college University Faisalabad under supervision of Khalid Mahmood Zia. After that he done his master's degree from University of Lahore under supervision of Dr Muhammad Pervaiz, and Co-Supervisor was Dr Ikram Ahmad. During his research Career till yet he Published 60 SCI papers with accumulative impact factor of > 230. His research on nanomaterials, composite materials, coated materials, heterogenous catalysis, MOF, self-sacrifice MOF, single atom catalysis, photocatalysis, and electrochemical sensor formulations. He used these materials for wastewater treatment, removal of heavy metals, degradation of organic pollutants, CO2 conversion, supercapacitors, dye sensing solar cells, gel electrolyte, sensing of hazardous metals in wastewater, Conversion of hazardous gases into useful product, nitrogen fixation, Catalysis for organic transformation, Li-S batteries, GCE nafion fiber, and water splitting. He has excellent understanding in designing of composite material, HRTEM, SEM, FT-IR, GC with photo reactor, UV-Vis., EDS, XRD, CV, DSC, XPS, TGA. Dr. Anish Khan is Currently working as Assistant Professor, Chemistry Department, Centre of Excellence for Advanced Materais Research (CEAMR), Faculty of Science, King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Ph.D. from Aligarh Muslim University, India from 2010. Research experience of working in the field of synthetic polymers, organic-inorganic electrically conducting nano-composites. Complete Postdoctoral from School of Chemical Sciences, University Sains Malaysia (USM) electroanalytical chemistry in 2010-2011. Research and teaching experiance, more than 100 research papers published in reffered international journal. More then 20 international conferences/ workshop and 3 books published 6 in Progress and 12 Book chapters. Around 20 research project completed. Ching Yem Chee is Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering, University of Malaya, Malaysia. His research interests are in the areas of MEMS and nanomaterials.
