Filomena de Sousa is Research Associate in the Centre for Philosophy of Science at the Faculty of Sciences, University of Lisbon. She received her PhD in philosophy from Université du Québec à Montréal followed by FCT postdoctoral and research fellowships at ISEG- Technical University of Lisbon, and is Visiting Scholar at the University of Cambridge. Her research includes evolutionary and cognitive concepts in social sciences and economics, ethical implications of biological and social engineering in human reproduction, eugenics, as well as topics in history and philosophy of science and method in social sciences and economics as reflected in publications and lectures listed on http://cfcul.fc.ul.pt/equipa/3_cfcul_elegiveis/filomena_sousa/filomenasousa.htm.,
Gonzalo Munévar is Professor of Humanities and Social Sciences, Lawrence Technological University. He received his PhD in Philosophy of Science at UC Berkeley under the supervision of Paul Feyerabend. As a visitor he has done research or taught at many universities around the world, including Stanford, the University of Washington, Irvine, Barcelona, Edinburgh, Newcastle (Australia) and Kobe Shodai (Japan). He is presently engaged in experimental and theoretical research in cognitive neuroscience. Other interests include evolution, space exploration, philosophy of science and writing fiction. He has published many books, including Radical Knowledge (1981); Evolution and the Naked Truth (1998); The Worst Enemy of Science? (ed. with J. Preston and D.
