Ferdinando Scianna Author

Ferdinando Scianna Sicilian, has since 1982 been the only Italian photographer to be a member of the international photography agency Magnum Press. In the 1980s he also worked in high fashion and advertising, shooting some famous campaigns including those of Dolce and Gabbana. In the meantime he has made friends and worked with various successful writers, including Manuel Vazquez Montalban. In 2009 he published the photographic book Baaria Bagheria with his fellow Sicilian Giuseppe Tornatore on the occasion of his film Baaria.
