Eve Jihan Cooper is a multiplatinum, Grammy Award®–winning, Emmy®-nominated rapper, singer-songwriter, actor, mother, philanthropist, and entrepreneur. In 1999, Eve made history with her debut album, Let There Be Eve…Ruff Ryders’ First Lady, by reaching number one on the Billboard 200 as the third female rapper ever to achieve that chart-topping position. Eve has released four albums to date; costarred in fifteen films; starred and co-executive produced her own sitcom, Eve; cohosted the CBS Daytime Emmy®–nominated talk show The Talk; as well as starred in the critically acclaimed series Queens, among many others. Musically, Eve is known as a trailblazer for women in hip-hop, constantly elevating the parameters of lyricism with her work. The Philadelphia native is based in London with her family. Kathy Iandoli is a critically acclaimed hip-hop journalist and author of God Save the Queens: The Essential History of Women in Hip-Hop, Baby Girl: Better Known as Aaliyah, and Lil’ Kim’s forthcoming The Queen Bee. She’s written for numerous publications, including Billboard, Paper, XXL, Teen Vogue, Vibe, the Village Voice, Rolling Stone, and many more. Kathy is also a documentarian, producing film projects on women in hip-hop for the likes of the BBC and Netflix. A professor of music business at New York University, Kathy routinely serves as a TV and radio pundit for discussions on hip-hop and gender. She lives in the New York metropolitan area.
