Massimiliano Vasile is a Professor of Space Systems Engineering in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Strathclyde. He was previously a Research Fellow for the Advanced Concepts Team of ESA on new methods for Space Mission Analysis and Design and Trajectory Optimization. He was a Lecturer at Politecnico di Milano and a Senior Lecturer at the University of Glasgow. He is a Member of AlAA, IEEE, the IAF Space Power Committee and AlRO. He edited the book Computational Intelligence in Aerospace Sciences (AlAA, 2014). Vasile holds a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from Politecnico di Milano. Edmondo Minisci is a Lecturer in Multi-disciplinary Design Optimization in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Strathclyde. Affiliated to the Centre for Future Air-Space Transportation Technology (cFASTT), he has more than ten years' experience in the field of CFD-based analysis and design, working on single-stage-to- orbit lifting 'body configurations and bi-rotoric small/medium size UAVs, as well as on the multi-objective design optimization of marine and aeronautical propellers, subsonic airfoils and wings, entry and re-entry vehicles, and wind turbines. He is a founding member and former general manager of OPTIMAD Engineering S.r.l.- ltalian SME, spin-off of the Politecnico di Torino, active in the field of aerodynamic analysis, design, and optimization. He holds a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from Politecnico di Torino.
