Dr. Dharavath Kishan received the B. Tech degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and M. Tech degree in Power Electronics from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad respectively in 2011 and 2013 and he received his PhD degree from National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli in 2018. Currently he is working as Assistant Professor in Department of E & E Engineering at National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal, India. Prior to joining NITK he worked as Assistant Professor at Faculty of Science and Technology, IFHE Hyderabad. Dr Kishan current research interests include power electronics and its applications in electric vehicles, wireless power transfer and transportation electrification. He has published 22 research papers in reputed journals and peer reviewed international conferences. He is also delivered guest lectures at various events on Wireless Power Transfer for electric vehicles. He is also an IEEE Senior Member and IAS Society member. He has guided five master level students in the area of power electronics and currently guiding two master and six PhD students in the area of power electronic applications in electric vehicles.
Dr. Ramani Kannan received the B.Eng. degree from Bharathiyar University, Coimbatore, India, and the M.Eng. and Ph.D. degrees in power electronics and drives from Anna University, Chennai, India. He is currently a Senior Lecturer with Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Seri Iskandar, Malaysia. He holds more than 135 publications in reputed international and national journals and conferences. His research interests include power electronics, inverters, modeling of induction motors, AI, machine learning, and optimization techniques. Dr. Kannan is a Chartered Engineer (CEng), U.K., and a member of IE (India), senior member IEEE, IET (U.K.), ISTE (India), and the Institute of Advance Engineering and Science (IAENS). He was a recipient of numerous awards related to research and teaching, and grants from FRGS, ASEAN-India, YUTP, KETTHA, and STIRF. He is an Associate Editor for IEEE Access and ITEES Wiley. He was the Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of Asian Scientific Research from 2011 to 2018. He is also a Regional Editor for the International Journal of Computer Aided Engineering and Technology, U.K., and an Associate Editor for Advanced Materials Science and Technology.
B. Dastagiri Reddy received the B.Tech. degree in electrical and electronics engineering and the M.Tech. degree in power electronics from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Anantapur, India, in 2009 and 2011, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in power electronics and its applications to renewable energy from National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, India, in 2015., From 2015 to 2018, he worked as Research Fellow with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National University of Singapore, Singapore. He also worked as Scientist with the ABB GISL, Chennai, India. Currently he is working as Assistant Professor in Department of E & E Engineering at National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal, India. Prior to joining NITK His research interests include power electronics, renewable energy, microgrids, electric vehicles, marine propulsion, HVDC, and FACTS.
Dr. Prajof Prabhakaran received the B.Tech. degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (Amrita University), Coimbatore, in 2009, followed by the M.Tech. degree in Power Electronics from the same university, in 2011. He received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Mumbai, in 2018. His doctoral research was focused on DC microgrids, and he has published four IEEE transactions and five IEEE international conferences from his research work. From July 2011 to June 2013, he worked as an Assistant Professor in Electrical & Electronics Engineering department, Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore. From July 2013 to June 2018, he worked as a teaching assistant and a lab coordinator at the Applied Power Electronics Lab, IIT Bombay. After a brief stint with National Institute of Technology Calicut, Kozhikode, as an Ad-hoc Faculty during July-November 2018, he joined the Transportation Solutions department, L&T Technological Services, Bangalore, where he worked for a year as a Project Lead for the research and development of Powertrain and Battery Management System for Electric Vehicle. On December 4 2019, he joined National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal, where he is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. He mainly works in the field of power electronics with focus on renewable energy source-based systems, microgrids, and electric vehicles. Dr. Prajof is a reviewer for IEEE Access, IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, Industrial Electronics, Smart Grid and Industrial Applications.
