Dennis Rubin
Dennis Rubin’s experience in the fire and rescue service spans more than 35 years. He has served as a company grade officer, command level officer, and a fire chief in several major cities including Norfolk, VA; Atlanta, GA; and Washington, D.C. In 1994, Rubin served as president of the State Fire Chiefs Association of Virginia.
Rubin’s teaching credentials include a field instructorship with the University of Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute and associate instructorships at the Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA, and Rio Salado Community College in Mesa, AZ. Rubin has been an adjunct faculty member at the National Fire Academy since 1983. He is a popular speaker and lecturer at the local, state, national, and international levels. Rubin is the principal partner of the fire protection consulting firm D.L. Rubin & Associates. The firm provides training, course development, and independent review of policy and procedures for all types of fire-rescue agencies.
