Dennis McIntyre was born in Detroit and died in 1990. He was educated at the University of Michigan and Carnegie-Mellon University. His play Modigliani was produced off-Broadway at the Astor Place Theatre in 1980 and in London in 1987. His next play, Split Second, was produced at New York's Theatre Four in 1984, with later productions in Los Angeles, London, Chicago, Detroit, Minneapolis, Atlanta and Philadelphia. National Anthems was originally produced at the GeVa Theatre, then further developed at the Long Wharf Theatre as a workshop and was presented there on the Main Stage in 1989. Established Price was produced at the Philadelphia Festival Theatre and as a workshop at the Long Wharf Theatre in 1990.
