Deepti Diwan Editor

Dr. Minaxi Sharma is currently working as Senior Researcher at Laboratoire de Biotechnologie et BiologieAppliquée, CARAH ASBL and Laboratoire de “Chimieverte et ProduitsBiobasés”, at HPEH-Condorcet, Belgium. Dr. Sharma has more than 11 years of extensive teaching and research experience in food technology, nanoencapsulation, development of functional foods using micro/nano-colloidal delivery systems, food waste valorization for valuable plant-bioactive nutrients, and the development of vegan alternatives to replace the meat-based additives from food chain. She is the editor of few international journals including, Scientific Reports (Nature), Nanofabrication, Biomaterials and Polymers Horizon, Medicinal Plants - International Journal of Phytomedicines and Related Industries; Microbial Biosystems; and EUREKA: Life Sciences. She has also experience as guest editor in special issues of reputed journals include, International Journal of Food Microbiology, Biotechnology Reports, Biomolecules, Frontiers in Nutrition, Bioengineering, Gels, Agronomy etc. Dr. Deepti Diwan is a research instructor in the Department of Neurosurgery at Washington University School of medicine, Saint Louis, Missouri, USA. Dr. Diwan has garnered more than ten years of multidisciplinary research experience in diverse fields, including cancer, epigenetics, erythropoiesis, genomics, hemorrhagic stroke, microbiology/virology, nanotechnology, nanomedicine, protein-carbohydrate interactions, and radiation biology. She contributed to numerous research and review articles and presented academic and research-based papers at several national and international conferences. She also serves as an editor of international journals, namely, Biomaterials and Polymers Horizon, Nanofabrication, and Microbial Biosystems. Dr. Diwan and her group developed Genome Profiling (GP) technology and Microarray-with-Manageable Volumes (MMV) techniques. They were the first to successfully test the application of GP and MMV at the single-cell level to detect intra-organism differences. Yogendra Kumar Mishra is Professor MSO and Leader of Smart Materials group at Mads Clausen Institute, University of Southern Denmark (SDU), Sønderborg, Denmark. Prior to SDU, he was leading an independent research group on 3D Nanomaterials at Functional Nanomaterials Chair, Kiel University, where he introduced the new flame-based technology for tetrapod nanostructuring including their 3D highly porous networks as flexible ceramics. He is collaborating with prestigious laboratories worldwide and maintains a large collaborative research network and is very active in science communication with society. He has received many notable awards, like, Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship (2008), Young Investigator Award (under 40) from BHJ Fonden-Denmark and has won several successful grants. Prof. Mishra is very well known worldwide for his research activities on 'Functional Tetrapod based Nanology'. Dr. Yevgen Karpichev is a Senior Research Scientist and Sustainable Chemistry and Engineering team leader at Department of Chemistry and Biotechnology, Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech), Estonia. Prior joining ERA Chair of Green Chemistry at TalTech in 2015, he was a Visiting Researcher at University of California, Santa Barbara (USA), postdoctoral fellow at Dalhousie University (Canada), CNRS Visiting Researcher at IECB (Bordeaux) and Laboratory of IMRCP (Toulouse). Visiting Professor at Paul Sabatier University (Toulouse, France) and University of Hradec Kralove (Czech Republic). The scientific expertise covers designing safer chemical and formulation using green chemistry principles, biodegradations studies, tuning nanostructures, chemical decontamination, green chemistry approaches to replace hazardous chemicals; chemical methods for biomass (lignin and lignocellulose) valorisation. Dr. Vijai Kumar Gupta holds a doctoral degree in Microbiology from Dr RML Avadh University, India. Currently, he is working at Center for Safe and Improved Foods & Biorefining and Advanced Materials Research Center, SRUC, Edinburgh, UK.
