David Peak Author

David Peak was born in Evesham Worcestershire. From the age of twelve or so he started writing and hasn't stopped yet. In the eighties he attended The University of the West of England and the University of East Anglia. Thereafter he continued reading and writing as if his life depended on it. His first novel 'No.4 Pickle Street' was published in 1988 to critical acclaim. His second novel 'The Cotoneaster Factor' came out in 1990 and the third, 'Go Gentle' in 1991, both again very well received. Then suddenly no-one wanted to publish his work. His reaction to this was to write even more than he had been doing in the expectation that at some point he would come back into fashion. He also began a long collaboration with author Louise Gethin to produce scripts for situation comedies and comedy dramas. This continues unabated. Since 'Go Gentle' David has written many other novels of which 'Miss Woo Country' is the last but one. He is currently working on 'This Angular World' which he expects to finish soon. When not writing he is to be found in a heap on the sofa watching old episodes of Frasier.
