David Musgrave Editor & Author

David Musgrave is one of the leading Australian poets of his generation. Born in Sydney in 1965, he was educated at Sydney University where he was awarded a PhD for his dissertation on Menippean satire. He has published seven collections of poetry, and one novel, Glissando., and co-edted the anthology Contemporary Australian Poetry. His work has won numerous awards in Australia, including the Grace Leven, Judith Wright Calanthe, Henry Lawson and Newcastle Poetry prizes. In 2005 he founded the independent publishing house Puncher & Wattmann, which is now widely recognized as Australia's leading poetry publisher. He lectures in Creative Writing at the University of Newcastle, and he lives in Newcastle with his family.
