David Katzenstein Illustrator & Author

New York–based photographer David Katzenstein has traveled throughout the world on his lifelong artistic journey as a visual chronicler of humanity. Born in Philadelphia, and raised in the Boston area, he was first introduced to photography at the age of 12 by his mother, an avid amateur. In university he studied with the artist Barkley L. Hendricks, and after moved to New York, where he began his career, simultaneously taking on assignments and working on personal projects all over the world. In 2022, Hirmer Verlag published Katzenstein’s book Ritual.
