Janis Fook is professor and chair of the Department of Social Work at the University of Vermont and has held academic positions at universities in Australia, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Norway. She has published nineteen books and more than one hundred book chapters and articles.

Danielle Jatlow is a lecturer in the Department of Social Work at the University of Vermont, where she is coordinator of the BSW program. She has been practicing social work with adolescents, young adults, and their families for more than eighteen years and is currently pursuing her PhD at Simmons University.
