Claudia Hopkins is Lecturer in History of Art at the University of Edinburgh, UK. A specialist on Spanish art and culture, including Anglo-Spanish relations, her publications include the edited volume Pascual de Gayangos: a Nineteenth-Century Spanish Arabist (2008) and The Discovery of Spain: British Artists and Collectors: Goya to Picasso (2009). She is co-editor of the Getty-funded journal Art in Translation.
