Christodoulos Kaoutzanis Author

A native of Nicosia, Cyprus, Christodoulos Kaoutzanis holds a PhD degree from Columbia University’s Department of Political Science. He graduated magna cum laudae from Georgetown School of Foreign Service, Washington DC. He also earned a JD degree at Columbia Law School, where he was a Harlan Fisk Stone Scholar and a James Kent Scholar, and an LLM cum laudae from the University of Amsterdam in International Criminal Law.  
 
His academic focus is placed on the intersection of international law and international relations, with a focus on the reactions of the United Nations Security Council to mass atrocities. His publications also examine issues of international criminal justice. Among his experiences, Kaoutzanis was a summer intern at the Office of the Co-Investigating Judges, at the Extraordinary Chambers of the Courts of Cambodia. He speaks Greek, English and French.
