Chris Kulp is a Professor of Physics at Lycoming College, having earned his Ph.D. in Physics from the College of William and Mary in 2004. His expertise lies in nonlinear dynamics, nonlinear time series analysis, and complex systems. Dr. Kulp has published over 20 peer-reviewed papers, many with undergraduate co-authors, and has written two book chapters. His research currently focuses on using machine learning for analyzing time series and modeling complex systems. He is also an author in the field of physics, having written a textbook titled "Classical Mechanics: A Computational Approach with Examples using Python and Mathematica," which provides a unique and contemporary introduction to classical mechanics with a focus on computational methods.
Christopher won the Mike Resnick Memorial Award for Short Fiction in 2022 for his story, "What Would You Pay for a Second Chance."
