Alastair Gordon is an award-winning critic and author who has written regularly about architecture and design for many publications including the New York Times, Vanity Fair, Dwell, and Architectural Digest. He served as Contributing Editor for architecture and design at WSJ, the Wall Street Journal Magazine for many years, and launched the popular 'Wall-to-Wall' blog on the Journal's web site. He has published several critically acclaimed books including Weekend Utopia, Spaced Out, Theater of Shopping, and Assembled In Light. Gordon has taught critical writing at Harvard University's Graduate School of Design and was a Distinguished Fellow at the Miami Beach Urban Studios (FIU). He is Co-Founder and Director of Gordon de Vries Studio. Chris Blackwell is the founder of Island Records. India Hicks is an author, designer, and style icon who lives in the Bahamas with her partner David Flint Wood, with whom she wrote Island Life (Rizzoli 2003).
