Cheryl Fields Tyler is founder and CEO of Blue Beyond Consulting, a management consulting firm that builds effective organizations where both the business and the people thrive. In addition to leading the organization, her daily work with clients includes everything from one-to-one executive coaching to the strategic design and implementation of large-scale business transformation efforts. A member of the Forbes Business Council, she has been honored as a For All Leader by the Great Place to Work® Institute, frequently writes for Forbes and has been featured in a variety of publications, including the BBC, CNBC, Fast Company, and Investor’s Business Daily.

After 20 years in various consulting roles and researching what makes leaders and organizations effective, Fields Tyler yearned to see if she could build the kind of business she was advising others to create. She founded Blue Beyond Consulting in 2006 with a firm belief that Deep Trust and High Expectations™ cultures – where people feel safe, valued, seen and heard, and can learn and grow – are good for business and good for people. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Blue Beyond today has 90+ employees working remotely across the United States.

Sue Miller Wiltz is an award-winning journalist and author who has worked as a writer, editor, content director, and editorial and marketing consultant for organizations including Newsweek, People Weekly, the Harvard Education Letter, Angie’s List and CAST Professional Publishing. Miller Wiltz is passionate about writing, business, and learning, and Blue Beyond provides the opportunity to combine all three of these interests. When she’s not working, Miller Wiltz is busy raising two wonderfully different humans and hoping to instill in them many of the essential concepts and values contained in this book. Graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Columbia University with a BA and MS  (respectively) in journalism, Sue also has an MBA in leadership, entrepreneurship and  innovation from Butler University, and in 2021 joined Blue Beyond to partner with Cheryl on expanding her thought leadership.
