Dr. Ashwani Kumar earned a PhD in Mechanical Engineering in the area of Mechanical Vibration and Design. Since December 2013 he has been a senior lecturer of mechanical engineering (Gazetted Officer Group B) at the Technical Education Department, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh (under Government of Uttar Pradesh), India. He worked as an assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Graphic Era University, Dehradun, India, from July 2010 to November 2013. He has twelve years of research and academic experience in mechanical and materials engineering. He is series editor of the book series Advances in Manufacturing, Design and Computational Intelligence Techniques published by CRC Press, Taylor & Francis Group. He is an associate editor for the International Journal of Mathematical, Engineering and Management Sciences (IJMEMS) Indexed in ESCI/ Scopus and DOAJ. He is an editorial board member of 4 international journals and is a review board member of 20 prestigious (indexed in SCI/SCIE/Scopus) international journals with high impact factor, i.e., Applied Acoustics, Measurement, JESTEC, AJSE, SV-JME, and LAJSS. In addition, he has published 90 research articles in journals, book chapters, and conferences. He has authored/co-authored-cum-edited 20 books of Mechanical and Materials Engineering. He is associated with international conferences as invited speaker/advisory board member/review board member. He has delivered many invited talks in webinars, FDPs, and workshops. Dr. Ashwani Kumar was awarded Best Teacher for excellence in academic and research. He successfully guided 12 B.Tech., M.Tech., and Ph.D. students for their theses. In administration, he is working as a coordinator for AICTE, E.O.A., Nodal officer for PMKVY-TI Scheme (Government of India), and internal coordinator for CDTP scheme (Government of Uttar Pradesh). He is currently involved in the research areas of AI & ML in mechanical engineering, advanced materials & manufacturing techniques, renewable energy harvesting, heavy vehicle dynamics, and sustainable transportation.
Yatika Gori is pursuing her PhD in Tribology and working as an assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Graphic Era University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. She has more than 8 years of research and academic experience. She is working in the areas of FEA, crack propagation, welding, and tribology. She has published 18 research articles in international journals. Her recent article, published in Tribology International, obtained an impact factor of 4.872. She is a core team member of NAAC and NBA accreditation work in the Mechanical Engineering Department. She is an editor of two international books. She is an editor of two international books on mechanical and materials engineering published by CRC Press, Taylor & Francis Group.
Dr. Avinash Kumar is an assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing (IIITDM) Kancheepuram, Chennai (an institute of national importance under Ministry of Education, Government of India). His research interests include micro-/nanofabrication, laser machining, and surface engineering for microfluidics and MEMS/micro-/bio-devices. He has published more than 10 articles in international journals, 4 book chapters, and 7 international conference papers. His Google Scholar ID is eiJd-MdoAAAAJ, ORCID ID is 0000-0002-8071-5748, Scopus ID is 56564412000, and Web of Science Researcher ID is P-6124-2018. He is a reviewer in ASME Journal of Solar Energy Engineering, Journal of Engineering Applications of Computational Fluid Mechanics, ASME Journal of Heat Transfer, Journal of Physics of Fluids, among others. Dr. Avinash Kumar worked as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur until 2019. His post-PhD research experience includes Early Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. He also worked as an assistant professor (TEQIP faculty) in a World Bank and MHRD (Government of India) project (NPIU) for a semester (2018) at theTHDC Institute of Hydropower Engineering & Technology, Tehri, Uttarakhand. He earned his PhD from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, in 2018. He earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal, in 2010 and MTech degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, India, in 2012. He was a research associate at the Bio-MEMS and Micro-fluidics Laboratory, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, India, from August 2012 to November 2012. He worked as a research associate with Prof. G. K. Ananthsuresh and Prof. Ashitava Ghoshal in Robert Bosch Centre for Cyber-Physical Systems, Mechanical Engineering Department, Indian Institute of Science Bangalore, for a year (2013). He qualified in Indian Engineering Services in 2010. He qualified in GATE-2010 with 98.20% in 2010. His PhD thesis was nominated for the best thesis award by the foreign and Indian examiner. He was selected in India-Sri Lanka Youth Exchange Program 2017, organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. He was awarded DST-International Travel Fellowship in 2018 to visit Hawaii, the USA. He is currently working on various research projects by CSIR and DST-GOI. He has coordinated and organized many conferences and workshops at IIITDM Kancheepuram, Chennai, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, and AIIMS Delhi. He has delivered many talks in webinars, faculty development programs, and workshops in the institutes. He has examined many MTech and PhD students at SRM University, Chennai. He has guided more than 10 BTech, M.Tech, and PhD students for their thesis.
Dr. Chandan Swaroop Meena is a scientist in the Building Energy Efficiency Department and assistant professor in the Academy of Scientific & Innovative Research (AcSIR) at CSIR-Central Building Research Institute, Roorkee (Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India). He earned his PhD in thermal engineering from IIT Roorkee and did his MTech in thermal engineering from NIT Kurukshetra. He does research in solar energy utilization techniques, geothermal systems, building energy efficiency, two-phase flow, and heat transfer. He is a Life Member of Indian Society of Heat and Mass Transfer (ISHMT), Life Member of India Building Congress (IBC), and Life Member of The Institution of Engineers India (IEI). He has published 29 research articles in reputed journals and international conferences. He is associated with international conferences as invited speaker/ advisory board member/review board member. He has delivered many invited talks in webinars, FDPs, and workshops.
Dr. Nitesh Dutt is an assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, College of Engineering Roorkee, Uttarakhand, India. He has more than 7 years of teaching experience. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, and his master’s degree and PhD from IIT Roorkee. He has published more than 11 research articles in international journals and conferences. His main areas of research are nuclear engineering, heat and mass transfer, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, refrigeration and air conditioning, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD). He is an editor of two international books on mechanical and materials engineering published by CRC Press, Taylor & Francis Group.
